Life is made up of small moments that more than likely give us butterflies. I encourage teachers and librarians to make butterfly moment bulletin boards or hanging installations! Record the small moments--good or bad--that you and your students have gone through. Start of a new school year? Chorus concert? Soccer goal? Recital fail? Nervous about a test? Excited about a new book, a new friend, a new sibling? Not so excited about it? You'll be surprised at how quickly these moments turn into poetry. Share it all with the hashtag #butterflymoments and tag me! I will choose one #butterflymoment a week to feature across social media and the winning classroom will get a Skype visit with me!
